A word of thanks from Pastor Tim & Renee.
We want to thank all of you so very much for your help and support at this year’s annual Church Picnic at Lake Rebecca. In so many ways it was one of the most fun and enjoyable picnics we’ve ever held. We prayed for this day for many months. The weather contributed without a doubt. It was the most beautiful day of any church picnic – and bug-less because of the wonderful breeze. The result was – the largest church picnic to date!
I received a call from a woman who had gone to one of our previous church picnics. Her children absolutely loved it. This year she brought her neighbors and their children who do not come to our church. She said they went from one thing to the next - from the petting zoo, to the pony rides, to the inflatable games, laser tag, to the face painting, and the cotton candy. They couldn't believe that it was all free and so much fun. This woman went on and on about how her neighbors went on and on. She and her children and neighbors were so extremely thankful. There has been feedback that this year more than any other year was the best ever for their kids.
But, it didn't stop there. The fifty-five plus group (an ever increasing group in our church) loved their dinner and fellowship. Other groups of people from other areas of ministry from the church planned where they would meet this year and did. They all loved the day and the picnic this year!
Pastor Mac ministered at a large baptism service of enthusiastic worshippers freely worshiping and singing to the praise and worship led by Franz, Greta, Dustin and Fred. We baptized about 150 people this year! What we have learned is that late June is a great time of year to host the picnic. I’m sure we’ll work to keep it in this time frame in the future.
You will never know how grateful we are for your help in making the Church Picnic a success. Your selfless attitudes and faithful and diligent efforts helped people not only have a great time, but also helped them connect with one another. People connecting in relationships is dynamic in its working and helps the picnic and the church feel so much warmer. God bless you for helping this happen! Renee and I and Pastor Aaron and Paula sincerely thank you for your faithfulness and hard work. It is people like you that make our church strong in love and spirit. 2 Thes. 1:3 says it perfectly! “We are bound to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other”
Thank you so very much! Pastor Tim & Renee Pastor Aaron and Paula
