The annual Men’s Advance is November 13-15, 2009.  It's a weekend that allows men to leave behind the distractions of their everyday lives and have an experience with God.  The advance is centered around biblical teaching on issues relevant to men’s lives, but it is so much more.

The weekend gives men the opportunity to build strong relationships with other men through activities and fellowship, and to build one another up through their experiences in the Lord.  There is nothing like 200 men coming to a place with open hearts ready to receive an impartation from God into their individual lives.

Yes, I learned a lot by not only the sermons, but by speaking with the other men. The Men's Advance always has a godly and positive impact on men. I was impacted by the reminder to wait on and listen for the Holy Spirit's small still voice for all areas of my life.

I really didn't feel overwhelmed by all I learned. (That's a good thing!) I could relate it all back to the theme of the weekend. As long as I can focus on remembering that, I feel like I can draw on the entire weekend.

I have been BLESSED with a great bride and wonderful, godly kids. Some of the "stuff" shared with me by Christian brothers with serious marriage problems and kid problems really let me know that my bride and I need to keep pressing in. We also need to keep praying for all the men!!
