We closed out the Mm year with a power-packed message from Pastor Tim and Renee called, “When an ‘F’ is Better Than a ‘D’”. They helped us identify some dysfunctional ways we may be communicating with our spouse, that creates challenges in marriage, as well as functional ways to communicate that help to build our marriage. Mm is taking a short summer break, and will be recharging for a better-than-ever launch this fall! We do have some Married Couples family events scheduled for this summer that we’d love to see you come out to.

Do you love games? Would you like to meet other married couples? We’ll have Wii games, board games, card games, pizza, refreshments, and prizes! This event is for all Living Word married couples – not just those who attend Mm! We would love to see you there!

Place: Church (in Driven Sr. High)
Cost: Free! (We’ll be providing pizza & pop, but feel free to bring desserts or snacks to share!)

We had another great night at Mm last Friday that they began with an Olympic twist, in a message entitled, “Start With Serving,” from Kevin and Alicia Weiers. They encouraged us to focus on serving our spouses in several ways, such as selfless acts of giving, love languages, finding agreement, and prayer. They showed us that successful marriage really does start with serving!

Thank you, Pastor Tim and Renee, for sharing your hearts last Friday in a message entitled, “Need a Fix?” We learned about “fixing” simple things in our marriages that sometimes bug us for years, when they could really be resolved quite quickly!
We celebrated with the winners of our “Why I Could Use a Date with My Spouse” essay, Robert & LeAnne Johnson, and our wedding photo drawing winners, Tim & Angela Erickson! Several others won prizes to help with their own special Valentine’s Day date.
We also enjoyed a wonderful Wedding Day Photo video with 60 wedding photos from Mm couples!

What a great night at Mm! Thank you, Pastor Tim and Renee, for a very impacting message called, “The Higher Purpose of Marriage.” They taught us that our marriages are about so much more than the benefits of marriage. It’s about having your marriage be an influence and a light for God! We love when we can see things from the bigger picture.
